Court-Martial Summaries
The Fort Campbell Office of the Staff Judge Advocate publishes the results of the following Courts-Martial from April:
A sergeant assigned to 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, was convicted April 1 of one specification of sexual assault and one specification of rape. The Soldier was sentenced to reduction to the grade of private; forfeiture of all pay and allowances; 10 years confinement; and a dishonorable discharge.
A private first class assigned to 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, was convicted April 14 of one specification of rape. The Soldier was sentenced to reduction to the grade of private; forfeiture of all pay and allowances; three years confinement; and a bad conduct discharge.
Safety Checkpoint
The Tennessee Highway Patrol will conduct a Driver’s License Roadside Safety Checkpoint Friday on Highway 120 in Stewart County.
Patriot Pet Contest
Through May 29, authorized Exchange shoppers can submit a photo of their pet along with a short description of their four-legged friend for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service Patriot Pet contest.
Submissions will be judged on creativity, uniqueness, quality and effectiveness in conveying the loyalty and companionship of pets belonging to military members.
The grand prize winner will “fetch” a $500 Exchange gift card. Additional prizes include a $100 gift card for two runners up and four third-place winners will receive a $50 gift card.
To participate in the Patriot Pet contest, military shoppers can visit www.shopmyexchange.com/patriot-family and submit a photo of their pet (or pets) along with a 50-word or less description. Entries must include name, address, phone number, date of birth and pet’s information (name, breed or type of pet).
Vacation Contest
The winner of the Army and Air Force Exchange Service’s latest contest can take their pick for an all-expense paid trip for two to Florida, Nevada or New York. The Mars M&M World Sweepstakes grand prize winner will receive airfare, lodging and spending money for one of three Mars World stores located in the United States, an approximate value of $6,000.
Through May 28, authorized Fort Campbell Exchange shoppers 18 years or older can text “Chocolate” to 20300 to enter. The drawing will take place on or about June 4.
Warrior week
Clarksville Parks and Recreation presents Warrior Week through Saturday.
Several events will take place Friday. A shooting competition will be held at 9 a.m. at MWR Outdoor Recreation, outside Gate 10. An eternal flame ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. at 1 Public Square, Clarksville. A free concert featuring Little Texas will be held at Liberty Park amphitheater from 6:30 until 9:30 p.m.
The fifth Annual Warrior Week Car, Truck and Bike Show will be held from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Park, 1241 Peachers Mill Road. A Tobacco Stick softball game featuring Clarksville-Montgomery County vs. Fort Campbell will be played at 2 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Park. Motorcycle safety
To promote Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, the Installation Safety Office is hosting Motorcycle Safety Week consisting of a series of motorcycle safety briefings with emphasis on training requirements, documentation review, mentorship and group riding, Personal Protective Equipment requirements and motorcycle inspections. The briefings are open for all Fort Campbell motorcycle riders and will be conducted from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. through Friday at Wilson Theater.
D.W. Rec renovations

Heating to Cooling Switch
The Directorate of Public Works will transition mechanical systems from heating to cooling mode, through May 15. For more information, call (270) 412-4804.
Road Work
Work has begun on William C. Lee Road from Bastogne Avenue to Tennessee Avenue/101st Airborne Division Road. The road will be widened from two lanes to three lanes. It is scheduled to be completed in August.
The speed limit is being lowered from 35 mph to 25 during construction. Drivers are urged to use caution.
Sgt. Audie Murphy Club
The Sgt. Audie Murphy Club meets from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. the first Thursday of every month at the Oasis Dining Facility (5th Special Forces Group), 2991 Indiana Ave. The meetings are open to SAMC members stationed at Fort Campbell, as well as retired service members who are SAMC members.
Intramural Sports Calendar
MWR Sports and Fitness office has released the 2015 Intramural and Recreation Sports Calendar to include basketball, racquetball, flag football, softball, volleyball, track, soccer and more. Eligible participants for brigade, battalion and company level teams must be active duty military assigned to the unit.
Eligible participants for individual, women, co-ed and recreational teams must have a valid ID card and be at least age 18.

No UNAUTHORIZED Boots
As per guidance from the division command sergeant major, no unauthorized boots will be allowed to be worn while in uniform on post. This is in accordance with AR 670-1.

Retiree Council

Warrant Officer Association

DOD Warrior Games
The Department of Defense Warrior Games 2015 will take place June 19-28 at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va.
DOD Warrior Games is an annual sporting competition bringing together wounded, ill and injured service members and Veterans from across the country. The games will feature eight sporting events with approximately 200 athletes representing teams from the Marine Corps, Army, Navy, Air Force and U.S. Special Operations Command. Each military service hosts trials in the months leading up to the games to determine their teams.
