• Domino Tournament -- MWR will team with Sportsman’s Lodge to host the 12-week “U.S. Army MWR 2010 Domino Tournament.” Head to Sportsman’s Lodge every Thursday at 7 p.m. beginning tonight. There is no fee, but your team must register to play. Each team will consist of two players, and there must be 12 teams per night for the tournament to move forward. Weekly prizes will be given to the team with the most points. At the end of the tournament, the overall winning team will receive an additional prize and be eligible for an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas to compete in the World Domino Tournament. • Family Fun Fair -- Join USAA and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Saturday for the Super Bowl-themed Family Fun Fair for some fun before the official kick-off of Super Bowl XLIV. The USAA and MWR February Family Fun Fair will be held at Sportsman’s Lodge, located at 6633 Sportsman’s Lane (outside of Gate 10), from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. There is sure to be fun for all with a day filled with free crafts and activities. • Greenway Family Walk -- Join Outdoor Recreation Saturday for the Clarksville Greenway Family Walk. This is a great, Family-friendly and stroller-friendly place to take your Family. We’ll start at the Pollard Road Trailhead and leisurely stroll along the 2.6 mile black-topped trail before turning around and heading back. There will be plenty of breaks along the way to rest and enjoy the scenery. Meet at Outdoor Recreation at 10 a.m. The cost is $5 per person, and children aged 8 or younger are free. • Superbowl Party -- Gather your friends and head over to D.W. Rec. for a free Super Bowl party Sunday. Enjoy free food, door prizes and watching the game on the big screen. • Modern Dance Class -- The Child, Youth and School Services EDGE! program invites youth ages 11 to 15 to learn the art of basic hip-hop through modern dance. • Children’s Valentine’s Parties -- Mark your calendars for Feb. 11 and come to the library at 38 Screaming Eagle Blvd. The library will host two separate children’s parties in conjunction with its weekly story and craft time program. • Christian Ballet -- American’s premier Christian Ballet Company, Ballet Magnificat!, will perform in Hopkinsville Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. First Baptist Church is pleased to host this professional group in the sanctuary. Since its creation in 1987, Ballet Magnificat! has performed around the world. This performance, called “The Scarlet Cord,” is inspired by the story of Rahab. • Winter Wine and Beer Fest -- Ignite your Valentine’s weekend by experiencing the AAFES and MWR Winter Wine and Beer Festival. • Valentine’s Day Mystery -- The Tennessee Central Railway Museum is hosting a Valentine’s Murder Mystery Excursion Feb. 13. The train ride, which will board at 8:30 a.m. and depart at 9 a.m. from the TC Ry Museum Station in Nashville, will roll you 90 miles down the track in a restored classic 1950s-era American streamlined stainless steel passenger train. The trip will feature a murder mystery play performed while en route to Watertown. Patrons can shop on the Watertown Public Square during the layover and visit local restaurants for lunch. • Great Race for Cupid -- An early check in, before noon, at Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tenn., begins The Great Race for Cupid Feb. 13. Families will meet at 1 p.m. to acquire race instructions and begin the hunt, which will take them all around the magnificent resort. The race will include eight different activities ranging from the Wii Competition to the Scavenger Hunt for Cupid. • Youth Triathlon Clinics -- Child, Youth and School Services is offering triathlon clinics to get you prepared for the upcoming youth triathlon on March 27. Hour-long clinics will take place at 4:30 p.m. every Wednesday through March 24. Clinics will consist of running and swimming at Gardner Indoor Swimming Pool. Children must be registered with CYSS and bring their swimming suits and tennis shoes with them to the clinics. Parents are responsible for providing transportation to and from Gardner Pool. • “Peter Rabbit and Friends” -- Join Peter Rabbit, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail when they meet Mr. McGregor, Jemima Puddle-Duck and Mittens, Moppet and Tom Kitten, all in a colorful, wonderful revival of the Beatrix Potter classics in “Peter Rabbit & Friends” at the Roxy Regional Theatre. • Hiking -- Join Outdoor Rec. on the moderate hiking trail at Edwin Warner State Park on March 6. At 4.5 miles, the Mossy Ridge Trail qualifies as a full-fledged hike that will not disappoint. You will be traveling through cove hardwood forests and along hickory, oak, and cedar ridges in Percy Warner Park; there’s even a spring-fed waterfall! Meet at Outdoor Recreation at 9:00 a.m. The cost is $10 per person, and participants must be at least 10 years of age.

• Outdoor Climbing Wall -- For $15 per person learn to climb with Outdoor Recreation on the new Adventure Course Outdoor Climbing Wall! This climbing wall offers various routes and challenging climbs for everyone from the beginner to the advanced climber. New climbers are welcomed at this exciting 2 hour climbing session which includes the harness rental and a belay lesson/orientation class. • Bike ride -- On March 20, take advantage of the chance to ride some of the best bikes on the market, a Cannondale Rush or an F8. We’ll ride on post on several connecting trails around Outdoor Recreation. Bring plenty of water and your sense of adventure! We’ll provide the bikes, helmets, gloves, and instruction. • Texas Hold ‘em & Dominoes -- Sportsman’s Lodge hosts Texas Hold ‘em and Dominoes every Thursday night. New rules allow participants 18 years or older to play and there is no cost to enter. The top 20 players from each game will earn points which will accumulate throughout the quarter. • Virtual Red Pin -- Are you interested in a free game of bowling? If so, come on out to the Hooper Bowling Center every Tuesday for Virtual Red Pin Bowling. It is a simple way to get a great deal. Just bowl a strike when the red pin is in the number one spot, and you win a free game for future use. Hooper has a new Vector Scoring Program that virtually shows when the Head pin is red. A score sheet can be printed out at the end of each game to show each red pin and the score received. Any free games won are given out to the winning bowlers when they finish their game, to be used at another time. Bowlers can win a maximum of three games per Tuesday. • Free Admission to APSU Athletics -- All military (active or retired) and their Families receive free tickets to all APSU athletic events. For football, men’s basketball and baseball, you must present your military ID card for admission at the ticket window. All other APSU athletic events are general admission. These ticket rules do not apply to postseason tournaments. Those events are sponsored by the

The Coffee Nook features gourmet coffee from Ritual Roasters that highlight the varied flavors of Brazil. Lattes, smoothies, flavored coffee, muffins, and cookies will also be available. • Paintball training -- Simulate the battlefield experience on Outdoor Recreation’s Paintball field. Take your troops out for the hands-on learning experience of moving under direct fire, quick decision making, and forming field combat strategy. Sergeant’s Time Training is available on Thursdays and Fridays with times to be scheduled at the unit’s discretion. Cost for this training is $12 per person which includes a paintball gun, mask, CO2 tank and field fee; for $22 you get the equipment as well as 500 paintball rounds. • Buddy Birthday Club --Join MWR’s Buddy Birthday Club and receive a birthday surprise. Birthday children will be personally invited to celebrate their birthdays at a special party hosted by MWR’s lovable mascot, Buddy. The Club is free to join and open to all children in the Fort Campbell military community who are age 10 and younger. Club parties are held every other month in MWR facilities. • Paintball Party -- On Saturdays and Sundays, Fort Campbell’s Paintball Field is offering special prices for birthday parties. Prices are $10 per player with or without rental or $18 for all rentals and $5 for all who do not need equipment. All birthday parties are field paint only and bags of 500 rounds are available for $15, half cases containing 1,000 rounds for $25 and full cases containing 2,000 rounds for $40. • Weekly Tournaments -- There is never a dull moment at D.W. Rec. Join them each and every week for weekly tournaments. Mondays feature a nine-ball tournament at 7 p.m. and WWE at 8 p.m. On Tuesdays you can belt out your favorite tunes with karaoke at 7 p.m. It is Patron’s Choice night on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. when participants can choose from a number of games. The cards are flying on Thursday night with the spades tournament that begins at 6 p.m. On Fridays, test your skills with the table tennis tournament at 7 p.m., and rack ’em up on Saturday afternoon as the eight-ball tournament kicks off at 3 p.m. Call 798-7391 for more information.

• Sewing Class -- SKIESUnlimited is now offering ongoing sewing classes! The primary goal of the sewing class is to teach anyone 9 years of age and older about the art and skill of using needle and thread. Sewing can be used to create clothing, wardrobe essentials and items for daily living. Cost of class is $20 a month and it meets weekly. • Warrior Adventures -- When Soldiers are sent on multiple deployments it is difficult to transition to life on the homefront. The Warrior Adventure Quest Program serves as a buffer activity to help ease that transition. Soldiers will experience activities such as the heart pounding Adventure Race, which includes mountain biking, slack lining, rock wall climbing, and team challenges, as well as other activities such as paintball, and a skeet/archery biathlon. This high adventure program simulates the adrenaline rush of combat in a supervised and controlled environment, while empowering the Soldier through team building, leadership activities, and combat readiness training. Warrior Adventure Quest activities must be scheduled as a platoon adventure training activity, during duty hours, through the unit leadership (E-6 and above). B-LLAAD training must be completed prior to scheduling of Warrior Adventure Quest. This training is available through each unit’s Chaplain.
