Alvin, Simon and Theodore meet their musical match after returning to school and entering into a battle-of-the-bands competition in hopes of saving the school’s music program. Sent to live with Dave Seville’s nephew, Toby (Zachary Levi), the three lovable marmots decide that getting an education is more important than belting out pop tunes. But the school’s music program is about to go belly up, and the only way to save it is to win the $25,000 contest prize. Though the Chipmunks are confident they have the skills to steamroll the competition, a newly formed trio dubbed the Chippettes promises to give them stiff competition onstage. Brittany, Eleanor, and Jeanette are the real deal, and the closer the contest gets, the more the boys realize that in order to win, they’ll have to give it everything they’ve got. Rated PG for some mild rude humor.

It’s the 21st century, but the gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters have walked out of the pages of high school student Percy Jackson’s Greek mythology texts and into his life. And they’re not happy. Zeus’ lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. More troubling is the sudden disappearance of Percy’s mother. As Percy adapts to his newly discovered status as a demi-god (his father is Poseidon), he finds himself caught between the battling titans of Mt. Olympus. He and his friends embark on a cross-country adventure to catch the true lightning thief, save Percy’s mom, and unravel a mystery more powerful than the gods themselves. Rated PG.

The Wolfman

Lawrence Talbot is a haunted nobleman who sets out to find his lost brother and discovers his horrifying destiny. When his brother’s fiancée tracks him down to help join the search, he learns that something has been killing the villagers. As he pieces together the gory puzzle, he hears of a curse that turns the afflicted into werewolves when the moon is full. If he has any chance at ending the slaughter and saving the woman he loves, Talbot must destroy the creature. But as he hunts for the beast, he will uncover a side of himself, he never imagined existed. Rated R.
